Assign Copper to NetPowerPCB now supports the following ways to add copper to a net: Assigning existing copper to a net | For a copper that has not been assigned to a net, you can select a design object with the netname you want to assign. | Assigning existing copper to a different net | For a copper that has already been assigned to a net, you can select a design object, or select from a list, the netname you want to assign. | Assigning new copper to a net, before starting drafting | Before starting to draft the copper, you can select a design object with the netname you want to assign. | Assigning new copper to a net, before completing drafting | Before completing the copper, you can select a design object, or select from a list, the netname you want to assign. |
DFT AuditIn 5.2, PowerPCB and BlazeRouter offer a direct method to prevent or favor use of specific components and via types as test points. For more information, see Setting Test Point Assignment Eligibility. To provide enhanced support for testability, the restriction of assigning SMD pins as test points has been eased for single pin components. Any single pin SMD component is eligible for test point assignment to provide support for surface mounted test point components. CAM Document OptionsThis release introduces the following enhancements to CAM document options: You can now browse to select a CAM directory and save the new path with the design when defining a CAM document. You can now select two renamed document types, CAM Plane (replaced Plane) and Routing/Split Plane (replaced Routing), when adding a CAM document. You can now save the current CAM settings as the defaults for this CAM document type and output device when adding a CAM document. (In general, you can save more CAM settings as the defaults for subsequent edits.) You can now use the following options to customize document settings (using the Select Items dialog box available from the Layers button): Save your selected colors (for each item you select in the Other, Items on Primary, and/or Component outlines areas) for each document type and use these settings as the defaults for new documents of that type Allow the colors of your nets to be represented when printing
