long distance = 长途 ， long distance phone call = 长途电话 ， 用long distance
形容numbers 意思是：很长的电话号码 ， 在此处是“双关”的用法。
这是我的理解，不知道对不对。

I will try it over and over again.In order to improve my English I have changed all my TV channel to CCTV-9.But my English is still"Chinese English".I can not think as an American.My poor speaking English makes some misunderstanding between my client and I.

CCTV-9 is a good channel to learning your listening and oral English. I often stick to this channel for news and other special programmes. And I do think it
can help a lot. Worth trying!

You guess wrong. I graduated in Shanghai and moreover, not Foreign language school.

BTW: Where are you graduate?
